Collection Services

As a SBC Bank current or savings account customer, you can take advantage of our collection services when you have cheque or draft that is drawn on a foreign country. The item deposited by you will be sent for clearance and you will receive credit for your collection item once we receive funds from the paying bank. The clearing period depends on the clearing regulations of the country on which the item is drawn.

Cashier’s Order

In situations whereby the beneficiary does not accept cash or personal cheques, you will then need a Cashier’s Order which is a cheque issued by our Bank, payable to the payee as indicated by the person who buys the Cashier’s Order.

Demand Draft

Demand draft can be used to make non-urgent payments overseas with stated amount in foreign currency or USD to a named beneficiary. Our overseas correspondents will pay your beneficiary when the demand draft is deposited and cleared by the beneficiary’s bank.
