Visa International Service Association

SBC Bank obtained the membership to the Visa International Service Association in late 2001. Since then, SBC Bank has provided the Visa Cash Disbursement service to its customers. In July 2003, SBC Bank received certification from Visa International for EMV chip card issuance and acquiring and it is the first Visa member bank in Southeast Asia to achieve both full EMV chip card issuance and acquiring status on our host system.

Association of Banks in Cambodia

SBC Bank was nominated the Chairman of the Education Working Group for the Association of Banks in Cambodia. After years of discussion and planning, the Association now bring to fruition an institute of banking of its own in cooperation with Mekong Private Sector Development Facility (MPDF), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the ASEAN Bankers Association. The Cambodia Institute of Banking will endeavor to satisfy the great and growing demand for training that meets international standards and will also play a vital role in the process of making the constraints facing the financial sector more widely recognized and taking concrete steps to resolve them.

Again in 2004, SBC Bank was elected to the Council and at the same time elected as the Secretary General by the Council. Over the years, SBC Bank has also been actively participate in events and meetings organized by the ASEAN Bankers Association.
